What I do

I listen to families, teach parents, and play with a purpose.

I provide in-home, pediatric occupational therapy services. My goal is to provide individualized, short-term treatment and parent training, while continuing to be a resource long-term as your family’s needs change.  I want to teach parents to meet their children’s unique needs at each stage of development through play-based and real-life intervention methods.

Common diagnoses I can provide therapy for include ADHD, learning disabilities, behavior disorders, developmental delays, motor delays, autism, down syndrome and other genetic conditions, and cerebral palsy.

I listen to families- What concerns do you have?  What would you like to see your child be able to do?  What does your child enjoy?  What frustrates your child?  What is working and not working for your family?  What is most important to you and your child?

I teach parents- I teach parents to understand their child’s developmental level so they are able to use play and daily routines to help their child learn new skills that allow them to be successful.

I play with a purpose- Play is critically important to childhood, and children should be learning through play.  I play with children with a therapeutic purpose; I play to teach important developmental skills.
