What Everyone Should Know About Early Child Development and the Brain

Where? Falcon Ridge Middle School in Apple Valley through district 196 community ed
Learn key concepts in child development (based on research from Harvard University’s Center on the Developing Child) and participate in The Brain Architecture Game. Build a brain that helps grasp the powerful impact of early life experiences on children’s development. Understand the impact of early childhood experiences on outcomes throughout childhood. Discussion of the impact of early life experiences for children in school, home, and community settings and how educators and parents can help at all ages. Appropriate for anyone who works with children (teachers, therapists, social workers, counselors, etc.), as well as parents who want a better understanding of how their child’s brain works and develops.
